The 1.2 engine = )

And how long do you plan on keeping the car?
If its more than 3 years, stay away from the Dualogic automatic gearbox as they cause problems a few years down the road that will cost 1000 GBP to fix properly.
Suspension will need replacing after 3 years as well at a cost of about 500 GBP.

Otherwise, the usual wear and tear including door handles, windscreen wipers, and boot switch issues = )

Get a TwinAir Lounge with air con.... its 2 cylinder petrol engine is powerful enough and you'll get about 47-50 mpg (imperial gallons) and it should be troublefree... mine has 11000 miles and is a year old with an annual inspection and oil change being all that has been done.

Hi which is the dualogic? Is it the dual clutch type auto? What goes wrong as I have been looking at this one as I prefer autos?
Thanks

the dualogic is the single clutch hydroelectric semi automatic (the only type available for now on the fiat 500). basically they are sensitive to hydraulic and electric failure after a few years, and when they go wrong they are a pain to fix so fiat just replace the whole unit at a cost of around 1000 GBP.

so if you plan on keeping the car more than 3-4 years, you need to factor this cost in as most likely you will be out of warranty when the problems develop.

Either that, or wait a year or two and maybe Fiat will replace the Dualogic with a dual clutch system in their new range = )
