I keep seeing more cars with LED DRL lights and have decided they just all look a bit tacky...so I went the other way and have gone yellow.
They are legal and I think they look good.
I have also painted my door handles black for a stealth look.

Really like the way the yellow looks against the black, and your right its very different to the HID/LED glarey look :).

Been tempted to paint my handles but went for vinyl instead, I'm a major disliker of chrome (hence opting for the sport)

Nooo they need to be white, LEDs will look good any pics on the net ? btw your car is crying out for standard alloys (when the winter is over).

Is it not time to get an abarth ?

I just keep seeing corsa's with led lights and think they are trying too hard.
I quite like doing things different.
I have 2 sets of alloys in the garage waiting for summer.
I was going to buy an abarth but the dealers did all they could to not sell me one, I guess they don't need the money. I am happy keeping the 500 for a while, I may end up getting an abarth at some point but not from a fiat or abarth dealer.

500 is different to corsa in class, but I know what you mean. Just googled some led keywords, something like this on the front DRLs may work, but with fewer bulbs. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270592185590

Wife does not like the manual TA, I think the answer may be the MTA on the Abarth, will look at Tony's one day. I do think about the trade in value of the TA on the 3rd anv as we put a few goodies in, lets see what they offer at the time, perhaps exchange for a low mileage Abarth at the time or perhaps another brand and another forum !!

Is there any meaning behind "RUI" or just force of habit?

I got it a few years ago because I would spend a load of money on a new car and within a few months it looked old when the new reg's came out.
I just went for a short plate..it means nothing to me..but I have had a couple of people ask if I was Portuguese....
I just had my user name the same as it is a car forum and that is on my car.

I changed it

I just re read that and it sounded like I had changed the plate to a new one...No I changed it in photoshop, You do hear of people getting their plates cloned even private plates.

@RUI do you not think that driving every day with your number plate showing would not give the cloners ample opportunity to do so?

Yes, but if I was wanting to clone a plate and obviously never have the uncomfortable moment when I see that person, I'd go on a forum and find a plate on a car that way......

Liking the yellow lights :)

Yellow lights are nice... are they yellow bulbs or have you coloured the lens of the drl/high beam?

Yellowing the foglights seems to be quite a popular thing amongst certain crowds as well, I like it in some cases, and with the retro-ness of the 500, it works well.

Also, I have a friend called 'Rui' (roo-ee) and so I have been calling you that in my head the entire time. Didn't realise it was not your name, Rui. ;) :p

Yes but its a hell of a lot easier to search for black fiat 500 on google than to drive around looking for one...and I only use the car a couple of times a week and then never in rush hour

There are three black 500's near me, would you like their numbers? ;)

Thats the thing they are near to you...you are hardly going to use those numbers as you will be seen by the owner or someone that knows them.
A quick search on the web and you can find loads and miles away from where you will be using the car.

That's why I was offering them to you, I don't have a black 500. :)

I also don't have a black 500, I photoshopped it that colour...you can never be too careful.
