I have recently experienced heavy condensation in my 500 lounge model - only 9 onths old and the dealer has re-sealed the roof as it is a 'lounge' model and has a roof light.
The dealer seems to think it is coming thro the roof, although I find it hard to believe as it is justa roof light not a sunroof!!
Has any one else experienced the same problem?

is it condensation or water?

If it's condensation it could be caused by having the aircon set to recirculate, rather than bringing in fresh air. This means the car is reheating the air you are breathing which means windows mist up all the time.

If you look on the dial, you will see 2 car icons, one with an arrow coming in through the windscreen, the other with a curved arrow inside the car (that is from memory, but hopefully you can spot the difference)

If it's water, then that's different, but if it were coming in through the roof, you would imagine the seats/top of the dash or floor to be wet, not just the window (which I am presuming is leading you to condensation)

one other thing is are the mats wet/damp? this could also lead to condensation as they dry out, creating water vapour in the car.

Wot she said (y)

Also, if you've got the air con on just before you park the car up water will condense on the air con unit and then evaporate and condense on the windows.

As Tracy has said, make sure you've got the car set to bring fresh air in, make sure there are no wet clothes, damp cloths or anything moist inside the car as this will all condense on the windows overnight.
