Have just had a phone call back from Fiat customer care as I rang them earlier to say how happy I was with the service I had had at my Dealer! She wanted to thank me for taking the time to ring up with praise rather than complaint and said they had called the dealership to let them know and how chuffed they were!! She also mentioned that it will help them build on raising their service at Dealers so......................if you have been happy with how issues have been dealt with etc ( there MUST be a few surely!!) then give FCC a ring....its an 00800 number so its free..... and maybe they can start to get things right more of the time (y) Also made me feel good that I had made someone's ( well lots) day!!:)

I had a call from Fiat CS to ask me about the purchase of my new car. I had presumed they did this to a percentage of all customers.

Taking time to phone and praise rather complain is great. Im sure they they take it very seriously as it must be such a rarity as complaining is far more the norm- I did :D as I hadnt been told the correct purchase price.

I got a phonecall too, gave the garage 10/10 for almost everything, did the entire conversation over my B&M system too :D

I brought Squirrile from a non Fiat dealer, but took her in for a major service to my local dealer.
I got a call the next day asking me how I felt about it, they got 100 :worship: as the price was reasonable (GoldCare service) the MOT was cut price as it had an early bird discount, and the loaner car (no charge for insurance) only had 200 mile on the clock.
The car came back cleaned inside and out, I was well chuffed (y):D

I think Fiat get a lot of bad press, but in fact the dealer down my road (J G Burgess of Sittingbourne) has been just excellent throughout. Then again I guess that's why they're still selling Fiats after 30 years++. The contrast with stuck up Audi, Mercedes etc is just dramatic.

thats where i bought mine from, proper old school dealer knows his stuff and dont give you any bullcrap about delivery times mine was 1 week out from his estimate ...1 week sooner(y) i bought my tipo and first punto from him also, the fact there are so many fiats in the swale area is a testament to the service he gives

Sadly, I can say that the recent service we had from Warrington means that the next time we change it wont be Alfa or Fiat. I have a 500 1.4 lounge, which I am happy with but when it came to service I got a quote from supplying dealer at 259 plus 10 courtesy car and went for new local dealer in Northwich at 239, Happy with this but still expensive.

Came to the OH's GP 1.3 diesel and the local dealer were offering 430 without oul change for 36k service, Warington offerered 289 inc oil change yet when went to collect it they tried to charge 389 and also said some warranty work needed for suspension but they had to get it approved first. Several calls later (note we only paid as quoted) and they still have not got back to us to say whetjer the suspension is covered by warranty or not.

The upshot is that whereas we were going to change the GP for an Alfa 159 or GT we are now likely to get a BMW 3 series.

Upshot is that poor dealer service loses Fiat group sales.

Sad after I have had 3 previous new Fiats and 3 Alfas

And there was me 30min later getting an ear battering down the phone telling me how you were fuming that you'd had to fork out and replace micro switch on the boot when they shows you when fitting new one that you could have just dis-connected it  :p

I was very happy with my dealer - PDH in Hassocks, East Sussex. The delivery time was over estimated rather than under, they managed to shave it from an initial 14 weeks estimate to just over 8 by using one already in the system and changing it to my spec. They kept me in touch regularly with delivery and progress. Also when I had a small issue with the screen washers they sorted it in minutes when I called and then came in.

I'm also very happy with my local dealer (Mill Lane Fiat, Aldershot) although I can only heap praise on the Service dept. as I bought my car from elsewhere. Prompt call backs, keeping to the appointed time, clean courtesy car, no issues whatsoever getting parts under warranty, no fuss... All equals one happy customer!

Good service from Westover, Salisbury. Gave them 10/10 for nearly all.
Only slight gripe was that they registered the car 2 weeks before delivery.
And I have had it confirmed that the warranty will expire 3 years on midnight before the day of registration, but no big deal really.

I got mine from Lloyds Autolease over phone. Everything done via phone and e-mail. 500 subsequently delivered to my house on a trailer. 1st class service from Lloyds too throughout the transaction which I must admit had been a tad apprehensive about as never bought a new car like that before.

Lol..so they phoned you to say thank you for you phoning them and saying thank you.

Did you phone them back and say thank you for them phoning you to say thank you for phoning and saying thank you?

:p

How were they not friendly or helpful over a touch-up stick?

They reckoned that Fiat hadn't released a touch-up pen in pasadoble red for the 500, even though I told them I had heard they had. I then decided to order one from Souls of Milton Keynes, which arrived within 2 days. Just had the impression that the one particular guy I had spoken to there about this, coudn't be bothered to find out.

Give forward autos in St Helens a go. I think warrington is the same company who own our local fiat preston motor park who are awful. In the end we bought from St Helens(30miles away) and so glad we did. They have 25 years experience and are a small friendly garage. Have been good with servicing and pretty good at sorting issues out.
