General MPG Record?

86 mpg over 26 miles this evening :) Must have had a tail wind.

Anyone beat that?
That is good!

On my way to work, since I hit 1,000 miles on the car, I average 85mpg over approx 6 mile stretch (i'll have to measure it now to see how long that bit of dual carriageway lasts lol) - can't beat your record though but I thought mine was quite good for a 1.2 petrol :)

It's not downhill but quite flat and straight lol and I drive it at about 50mph so that's probably why lol

wow 626 miles .......... mine ALWAYS says 439 when i re-fill.

I was wondering what I need to do to beat your mpg, I figured a long downhill might just be enough.

Funny, I get exactly 439 when I refill.

I am only getting 29.6 mpg on a 1.2 petrol. Seems a lot less than I expected - journey each way is 5 miles, with a fair bit of traffic - downhill one way, uphill on the way back. I also tend to leave the E mode on.
Only done about 250 miles so far - do you think this may be normal, or is something wrong?

Assuming that this is the overall mpg for your 250 miles, on a tight engine and doing stop-start twice a day for 10-minutes or so each trip I'd say this is to be expected.

I'd re-set one of the trip readings, and take it for a longer drive on a nice, flat A road; it should improve - if not, take it back to be looked at.

Is E mode a Sport thing?

Mines not far off - 33.3 mpg
I'm hoping its cause the engine still needs to loosen up :chin:
Ive only done a total of 350 miles since Ive had her.

from my 1.2 my most impressive is 60.1 over 18 miles now petrol has gone down so has my right foot . i have noticed though you need to get a high reading right from the word go after doing the trip reset that way it seems to stay higher . 80 mpg is damn good though :worship:

What sort of readings are you getting when you select the instant mpg in the display?

Who's that for mate? Mine is pretty much 99.9 whenever not going up hills or accelerating provided I'm in 5th. But my journey are slow motor / steady a-road so 40-60mph mostly.
