It seemed like an eternity but finally this afternoon I got my 500.

The wait had dulled my exitment to the point of indifference. But wow! Love it. It feels like it was molded just for me. The leather seats are spot-on and the chrome just looks so sweet....although I have to go back to get the chrome strips put on the window rubbers. The A bar is perfect. So glad I had that done. My kids and wife love it too and I'm going to call it Freddy.

Anyway, we're really glad Warren went to all that trouble because it just wouldn't have been the same otherwise.

Yes it is. We were going to go somewhere really nice as it was our anniversary and I'd just picked up the 500. Unfortunately number 2 son was really hungry.

I nearly bought a house on the marina when they were first built. I was put off by my mate ( an estate agent ) who said the place was built on landfill and stunk of sewage in the summer. I wish I hadn't listened to him sometimes.

:wave: Hello to Freddy! The first 58 reg 500 I have seen. He is very smart - like his stripe too.

It sets it off quite nicely. Glad it's on there though my superstitious mother has a problem with red and white together and will no doubt freak when she sees it. Tough luck I say.

Did quite a long trip in it today including a trip to a fancy dress kiddie's party where the adults had to dress up too. I would imagine there were a few strange looks from people when they saw a convict driving a new 500 across Cardiff.

Were you in the Fox & Hounds in Whitchurch earlier? Saw a white 500 with reg CE58 NU? - can't remember the last letter as I was a bit squiffy

No it wasn't mine however I am a Whitchurch lad and do go there to see the old folks now and then.

Ah I might see you around then - and you might see a 500 the same colour as yours with 85% the same numberplate

I guess if we'd got ours from Wessex there would be at least three 500s in Cardiff with almost-matching registrations.

My plate will be changing when the paperwork comes through. I run a company making electric pickups for guitars called Shed Pickups. I managed to get a 500 related plated that says S500HED.
I'll look out for yours too. What's the number?
