sounds very interesting and more BHP than the abarth.........Might be a good thought when the 3 yrs warranty runs out......

But in 3 years I'll be looking at buying a (new) Abarth, not spending almost three grand on putting me and my 500 into the nearest tree!

I wonder how much the exhaust is, prob another few hundred

looks good but the price, jesus my missus would go apes**t.
i think most of us will want to trade up to Abarths rather than spend that much on a supercharge kit,but like you say it would be something to think about when the waraanty runs out.

There is a gap in the market for this type of conversion, same as the Novitec and van Aaken turbo Cinqs

However that gap is very small and not worthwhile developing in light of the Abarth

Might just as well buy a T Jet lump and fit that...

Good luck to them though!

Nothing new about supercharger kits for the 1.4 16v. There has been a company that has developed them since 2004 for the mk2b Punto Sporting 1.4 and then later for the Panda100HP. I enquired about these and aparantly they don't upgrade injectors / fueling all they do is load a remap. The one on ebay 'may' be different but I can't check as ebay don't work for me when im at work :(.

if these are putting out more than that, and still work then i'd say they can. x part can take x amount of torque / power are meaningless unless tested to destruction imo

because the compression ratio is different.

but then without knowing amount of boost the supercharger is running, its hard to say for sure that the CR needs dropping for that conversion.

back on the topic of different part numbers meaning different parts, it isn't always the case. For example the Sei mk1 and the cinq cooling fans are technically the same part, but they have differing part numbers. One is double the cost of the other. But side by side they are identical.

appologies for any offence caused, re: above.
there is some vids on u tube of the red car and tbh it don't look that quick plus it looks like they can't re-fit the bonnet and the charger is VERY loud
