Can anyone tell me what size / pitch the (metric) main hub thread is on my front hub /steering arms . Currently I have ( peened type ) nuts fitted but would prefer to revert to castle type as I have split pin holes? Old fashioned I know but unless there is any disadvantage, I cannot see why not

You might have to make your own 'castleated' nuts as the chance of finding a left-hand thread nut (for the o/s hub) are slim,to put it mildly. You might be able to re-cut a 'peened' nut and, if necessary, put an additional washer between the nut and the bearing, depending on how the slots in the nut and the hole in the stub-axle line up.

Thanks . On that basis , any idea where I can find the thread size. ? I am assuming metric fine ?

As far as I can tell , I now think the thread size is
M14 x 1.5 .

Normal thread nearside , left hand thread offside?

Confirmation from those more knowledgeable than me would be much appreciated.

According to the factory manual you are correct with M14x1.5, also LH thread on offside. (y)
