Hello,

I have an unexpected need to replace a torn seat on my '69 F. At present they are an all black faux leather, but I am told these are not what would have been original to the car.

I have done a bit of Googling and found two seat cover types, one a two tone affair, one with vertical stitching.

Can anyone advise what is the correct and original covers to go for?

Many thanks as always,
Stuart.

The F models should have the two tone seat covers. The stripe covers are for the more luxurious L models.

My 500L came with black 'pleated' rear seats--both the base-squab and the back-squab. The rear inner-wing trim panels are also 'pleated' black. All are of a 'plasticy' material. I DO have front seats (just in case you were wondering) but they are black 'after-market' bucket seats--came with the car.

Yes two-tone material on the 500F. We just had ours re-done with new padding to make them more comfortable. The trimmer said he had some difficulty getting the original covers back on and thought they may have shrunk slightly. The original stitching can come apart.
