Hello All

I wanted to share our project, it's been a couple years in the making.

Hopefully the below link works to show some pictures, unfortunately the photo quality is not the best.

First class job Hugh; where about in Australia are you? Again, you guys 'down under' seem to have lovely big workshops--I have a 24x10 w/shop and garage (17x10 garage with 6x10 workshop at the end) and that is considered 'much larger than average' over here! What are your engine specifications--where did you get your rods/pistons/barrels from?

Well done Hugh,

Very good result, Can you please post your engine mod's and parts, and in particular what you have had done to the Panda Head - skim level and valves sizes. Do you know the output???

Ian.

Thank you all for your kind words! This is really my father’s project, Tim, so I am documenting it for him.

I tell you with more space unfortunately you always seem to find something to store in there, so you end up back to square one.

I have included pictures of the tin worm treatment link below to pictures. Unbelievable looking back at the amount of work.

The engine mods are as follows:

Athena 700cc kit fitted to 650 engine, 10.3:1 forged pistons, 130mm forged h-beam rods, nikasil treated sleeve aluminium barrels, copper head gasket, 35/75 cam.
Panda head ported and reconditioned, 35mm inlet valves, 29mm exhaust.
Aluminium spring loaded push rod tubes.
Balanced engine.
Balanced and lightened flywheel.
Recon 650 gearbox.
Weber DCOE 40, 28mm chokes, ported manifold to suit head, custom throttle.
Custom exhaust, ceramic coated.
MSD ignition.
Remote oil filter
Oil cooler.
Modified shrouding for Panda 30 head.
Various mods to Panda 30 head studs etc.
Starter motor solenoid engagement built in to original tunnel lever.
Oil pressure and temperature gauges.
Fuel filter regulator, electric fuel pump.

Unsure on the output yet, I’m really looking for drivability. I think double standard should be a starting assumption…

Once on the road and wheel aligned I should have some more pictures and info for you guys. Thanks again!
