Hello.

I have just mounted a 35mm OMP lowering kit and I am very pleased of the handling of the car. The problem is the tire wear. The inside of the tires wears a lot more than the outside. It looks like I`ve got a negative camber. Anyone here with the same problem? How to fix this problem.
My norwegian-english is bad so sorry about that.

I'm having words with FIAT about this as it seems there maybe a fix for it, first thing to do is a 4 wheel alignment, I'll post back when I hear from FIAT.

I think the original poster will struggle because he or she has changed the springs for lowered, aftermarket items. These WILL NOT be covered under warranty...

Only possible solution is to have the suspension geometry checked out by a good 4 wheel (laser prefered) allignment/tyre centre. A good specialist will charge anywhere between £60-100 for the privilege though.

Shouldn't cost any more than £15 for a proper alignment check (no point paying extra for adjustment - if it can't be).

It's only the figures you're really after since toe is all that can really be adjusted.

Had mine laser aligned after I went Eibach. Took 30 minutes, including documentation. But as they are responsible for this work and document, some of the cost is just a fee for that. So £100GBP (1200NOK) is a fair price.

Not much is adjustable, but the great thing of buying complete kits, are that they are tuned to match the car.

The majority of places that charge £15-25 for an alignment check only check to see if the wheels are pointing in the right direction but don't check the camber. Also at that price I'd be suprised if that was laser aligned. If you ever get the chance, go to Demon Tweeks in Wrexham and have a look at their equipment (there is a viewing area in the workshop), absolute quality piece of kit!:yum:

All that matters is if the figures are correct.

Protyre will actually do a full alignment check for less than £15 and provide a full printout

Mind you, taking the car away without paying for an adjustment is the skillful part ;)

Right car went into FIAT today and they've "modified" the lower arms for me, not sure exactly what they did as it doesn't look much different, but I should have no more uneven front tyre wear now :D

Oh and they did it FOC under the third year warranty :)

not tellin :p

TBH I have no idea what they have done. I'll take a couple of pics of arms tomorrow and post them up (y) let you more knowledgeable people decide :)

Oh and it has improved the steering as well, before every bump/pothole I went over pulled the steering in that direction. None of that now :D

You mean you didnt ask them  shame on you :D get straight back there tomorrow and ask for a full technical write up of what they did :bang:

very interested in this one dan. after fitting my new wheels i had the laser tracking done at ats euromaster (do you know of anyone good in cardiff phill?) for £17.50. the change to the car is amazing, it was 3mm out, no more shaking through the steering wheel under acceleration, no more tyre roar (it literally was ROAR) and hopefully reduced wear.

if there is something that fiat do to make it even better, then its more than welcome (y)
(although it should be a courtesy fix)
