I have a Panda 2009 1.2 eco (169)
All going fine including idling when a/c not on
As soon as a/c switched on engine tries to stay running but oscillates rapidly between approx 400 and 1300 rpm for a few seconds before stalling. Engine runs fine with a/c on as long as not on idle.
things tried so far
removed and thoroughly cleaned throttle body with particular attention to idle control valve - refitted and carried out throttle relearn (ign on 1 min no start, off 1 mn, on and start and idle without throttle til fan comes on and repeat twice).
Check all wiring to throttle body - all ok
Fit replacement (2nd hand) throttle body and do relearn as above - symptons identical to original problem (unlikely to be same fault in both TB's).
With 2nd throttle body idling OK when no a/c. engine running well with good economy etc when no a/c. a/c working fine when engine off idle.
any thoughts or suggestions will be much appreciated
