My problem still persists.

Just what I borrowed. I can connect to the Launch x431 model.

I'm thinking of buying it for myself, but the $250 price is stopping me.

I saw an obd usb device called "vag com kl". I bought one of this device.
I think it will work.

If you look at the multi ecu scan website you can see that it should work with the KL (VagCom 409) USB interfaces but I'm not sure if this needs to be the official rosstech version or that a clone is sufficient. Me personally I bought a generic OBD2 - ELM327 Interface type USB OBD2 Auto Scanner V1.5 and that works great with the Multi Ecu Scan windows application.

I have tried several types of elm devices. I even changed the resistance of a device.

I even bought Launch Creder 3001.

None were successful in making a connection.

My car does not read elm unlike others.

That's why I wanted to try it, even though it was an imitation product with a different protocol.

Sorry I have edited this post after seeing ops comment that appears to say he did get a code reader to connect to vehicle, but I want to confirm.

Please confirm launch x431 connected to all the ecus in the car?
Engine ecu?
Abs ecu?
Srs airbag ecu?
Any others?

All the reader use the same protocols on the same pins to read data

If one works intermittently and the others don't

It likely to be the pins in the connector are spread or oxidised slightly

The Launch Creder 3001 is known to work on this car, and we know it's not faulty as it works on other cars

Any feed back from this

Hi

"Elm" terminals have data flow.
However, I cannot connect to software such as "car scanner" torque pro".

My mobile phone "Xaomi mi12t pro" is a Chinese model.

I will try with other phones. I haven't tried it with another phone yet.

Well that proves connection to the elm and the elm connects to the ECU

I had to try a few different profiles to get the software to work properly
