Hi gang! New to post here, but not really new here (i've been reading the threads from this forum for sometime now).

I have a Stilo 1.9 JTD 115cv 2002 edition, and my problem is the car AC doenst work at all. The "normal" heater (blow cold or hot air from exterior) donest work neither the AC (I have Bi-zone). My steering wheel is on the left side (live in France).

Symptoms: the buttons on the control unit work; the flap that close/open to let the external air works (heater blower fan doenst work; so no air comes from out; theres a strange noise that comes from the central unit (actualy it comes from the small motors that close and opel the flaps, because a disconnected the 3 small motos and the noise stopped), so maybe something is jammed there? (couldnt take them, its so god dang difficult, will try again)

I was reading all the guides for climate problems, but the ones that could help a little dont have the images anymore. So now i am kinda lost. I took of the heater blower fan to test (put 12v where the red wire connects and ground where the black connects), the fan did not work.

The questions:

- Is it enough just to test like this, the blower fan?

- If the heater blower fan stops working, haverithing stops working also?

- Does the cars with AC come also with a resistor pack (like the manual ones that have 4 speed position)? Or is there just a electronic equipment somewhere?

- Where are they? since i dont seem to find it

Thanks in advance

Have you tried checking operation of climate unit with MES? It has diagnostic procedures or check this thread (look at post #7 )

I have tried that, still no luck. Thanks anyway

I saw that, but it is sooooo god dang difficult to unscrew does 3 little motors in the drivers, cause I know for sure one of them doesn't work (it's where the noise comes from)...

Well... then maybe... u can give me some tips as to where and how should I start and remove (unscrew). Do u mind?

Depends on which one. There are 3 on the left side (steering wheel) and one on the right side besides the glove compartment. The right one was very time consuming, as the car's design was in the way. The left ones were painful (not if you are a yoga instructor) in many ways, but took less time.

Yeah, I'm talking about the left ones... Will find time this weekend to try (again).

Most importan is actually how you rest your body. I used my flat toolbox as a bench extender, at the same height as the sill. Then I pushed myself in under the steering wheel and put my head on the brake pedal if I remember correctly. You have to remove the plastic panels on the side to gain access.

It seems like some of the pictures have been unlinked.

I was complaining about that the other day... Would help a little.

Thats what i was thinking about. Will have to find some kind of balance to rest my back, the good side of this is I am a small guy :D

Update:
I took out the fan heater blower (third time I do that), but this time I dismantled the blower and found out there was a broken pad in the circuit board. Got my electrician knowledge to work and solved it. So now I have air that comes out (cold air) (y)

Now it is left just the little motors (so I can get hot air and also AC) from the left side.

Hi folks. I finally got time to spend with the car and finally got out the actuators. Just like you said Morty Mort, it was a pain in the butt but it came of.

As you guys can see in the pics, the little white piece is broken, question:

- Where can I buy just this little white piece?
- And where can I buy the actuators (if I have to)?

the white clips are 46723463 but if they broke off im sure the culprit are the motors that have their potentiometers busted and dont know when to stop. if yoru going thru the trouble to replace the white parts i would def recommend to change the motors.
