Hi to all,

Just curious what the 1.2 petrol is like on fuel.

I pressed the trip switch to get the reading.

Mine read..............5.4 litres per 1/100Km.

I'm old school, and still have the love for miles/gallon.

Must work out what that is.

How does this figure fair with others with same size engine.

Thanks for looking.

John.

Hi there my 1.2 2004 get's between 40 to 45 mpg according to the readout, general running around .

Nothing wrong with them figures.

I must be stupid, or my brain doesn't want to work on a Sunday.

Trying to figure out my figures, and getting some crazy results.

Forgot to mention that my Panda is a 2007 with 40,000 miles on the clock.

Mine is 04' 1.2 currently averaging 5.2l/100km. in summer averaged 4.9 over the whole summer. Gets used for a 65km daily commute on fast a roads the engines done 120k kms. This is all from the trip computer.

Thats very good, and its a 04 model.(y)

Them figures are better than mine.

I'm going to pick your brains now. Any idea when them figures are miles/gallon?:bang:

Would I be off the chart if I said around 57-60 miles per gallon?

Have a look at this site
http://mpg.webix.co.uk

I'd say anything the trip says is over reading due to the speedo over read I think it's really about 50mpg or high 40ss not bad though

Hi daveofkent,

Thanks for your info. I thought I was off the chart, quoting close to 60 miles per gallon.

I just thought..................5.4 litres is alittle more than a gallon.................100km is around 60 miles......................................Close to 60 miles per gallon.

But as you pointed out, the trip readings can over read as well.

Must put on smaller tyres....................it'll fool something...................but I'll have to the put juice in the tank.(n) Must take look at your link now.

Thanks a million.(y)

John.

It's best to measure pump to pump and calculate it properly. The car can sometimes be a bit optimistic.
