I have a 07 punto 1.2 since I have had the car my blowers have been playing up, now they just do not work at all! My radio come on and off as It likes but worst of all my power steering does the same while all my dash lights have a disco flickering on and off. It is horrible to drive like this. I'm told a ignition sensor is faulty and only cheap to replace!! I haven't got a clue so was hoping some of u guys or girls could help, maybe a link for this sensor or something that would give me a better idea?!?!?!?

The blowers not working is a common issue.
The resistor pack has probably blown, or the wiring may have burnt out.
Both of which are easily repairable, and has been documented in the technical section.

Lets get on with the power steering and dash lights though.
When the radio comes on and off, is this when the dash lights flash and the power steering goes ??, or is this something totally different. ?

The symptoms you describe for the power steering and dash lights going wild, has been mentioned many times before, and could be an indication that your battery is about to give up. Before spending hours trying to diagnose this, go and have your battery checked out.

Failing that, it could be a faulty earth.

As for "Ignition sensor" !!! In almost 40 years of working with cars, i've never heard of one.

a poor battery / charging system is the #1 cause of PAS issues,



read through the FAQ's at the top of the GP homepage,
a lot of the silly issues are covered there,

Thanks guys. The steering goes stiff usual when the radio is off, when the radio blips back on the steering comes straight back. This happens on and off constantly while I am driving and the dash lights constantly flicker!

Some great feedback thanks guys hoping to get this sorted as cheap and as fast as pos ?
