No winter tyres though!500's love the snow:
Lol no offence taken, however I have been driving for 20yrs and live in Scotland, so I have a good knowledge of how to drive in all weather conditions Was just curious as to what she would be like, however shovel, rock salt and wellies are always standard in my boot whatever the car.
Will give her a wee test tomorrow
To be honest you should be OK in a pop as long as it's got the standard wheels. It would be even better to buy some winter tyres and have them fitted to another set of wheels but it's up to you of course.
Trust me, this was my road last night and it only got worse during the evening when it froze. Your 500 wouldn't have been so surefooted up there that's for sure.
Countless cars have been getting stuck around our house and I'm sure those people probably thought their cars were surefooted too
No slush there at all, just pure compacted ice
With snow tyres it's pretty darn goodSnow hasn't got to us yet but I'm actually now starting to get a bit nervous of how well my 500c's roof will cope with a foot of snow on it! It never occurred to us when we got it back in April. After seeing the pics posted with a thick layer of snow on the roof, I'm even more nervous now of how the 500c's roof will cope with the weight! Last year our qashqai had a seriously thick (heavy) layer....
Anyone had any experiences? We have had poor winters lately so I really should have considered it back then but my wife was blinded by desire at the time! No garage to keep it in and snow guaranteed at some point as we are on the side of a Welsh mountain......
I've little/no knowledge or experience of convertibles But I've never heard of it being a problem on mx5's and the like so I'd imagine it would be alright but perhaps it'd be a good idea to make sure no massive accumulations of snow get on the roof.I'm more worried about the 500c's roof collapsing or sagging under the weight of snow!
I hear the Panda 100HP is actually crap in snow!
