I have read that the rev counter needle was moving clockwise on some models and then anticlockwise .... What is the difference between the two (is it year of manufacture , country sold ) ??? ![]() Please can u help with insignificant but important question. ![]() Thanks, George

Posts: 4 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Rev gauge (clockwise or anti-clockwise) It's my understanding that only the 1300s and the very early 1500 had clockwise rotating tachometers, the rest of the production run had anti-clockwise tach's. The tach rotation direction was changed because the raised and offset seating-position in the 1500 (due to thicker padded seats?) made it impossible to see the 4K to 7.5K rpm range.

Posts: 75 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: Rev gauge (clockwise or anti-clockwise) my '79 1500 5spd, manufacture date DEC 1978 had the clock wise tach, but i removed the gauge cluster and added one from a '81, that runs counter clock. if your looking for a clock -wise tach let me know and we can figure out somthing.(note this is the "late"clock-wise tach. the early style were silver/blk and looked "buck rogers"-ish. the one i have looks like a normal "fiat" x1/9, not the bertone style.
