hmmm, i do think the sharper one will suit the mk1 more....that softer on would look cool on a panda(y)

:yeahthat:

Great find Jai - I like those a lot (y) more than the bulging star shape wheels you bought before ;) I agree with you that the flatter shape suits the Uno (Mk1 or Mk2). The Bravo/Brava/Marea and Mk1 Punto suit the convex wheel shape better, in my opinion.

Paint stripper gets the lacquer off, if you need to.

Give us some photos to show us the polishing - I wish you well with it! I don't have much luck with polishing aluminium myself - goes all dull and smeary - I'm sure you'll do better though :)

what happens when in the space of just a few weeks, sets of really nice wheels come up on ebay, or are offered to you through the forum and turbo collective:
wheel_whore_3_.JPG

wheel whoredom strikes!!!! pretty much all the tyres are cack, so when i get a chance first job is down the local friendly garage to get them taken off, gives me a touch more room, then time for decisions.....and finally action, no time at the moment or the foreseeable future to sit down with a bucket of stripper and go to town so will have to wait a bit...

decisions though.....i do want the original turbo alloys to be done in white, the silver star ones to go back to original shiny, the mistrals i'm still undecided, and having seen robs tipo at mitcar, i'm torn between antracite and silver, as for the ones already on the tub, those 13s i'd like in silver.....

somehow i need to do this all under the nose of mrs jai.....cunning plans accepted here

well, i picked them up today, and i have to say from the quite scabby looking set i dropped off to what i got, i'm quite happy. the tipo mk1 alloys were redone in a very shiny silver, "hidden" chrome valve and got the toyo proxes T1Rs sized 195/50/15:

overall, despite not being able to remove every ding and dent, i think they have turned out great, the rims are smooth and no longer have pits and gouges, the only issue now is trying to find a decent set of abarth caps for the tipos so they look the business:devil:

i'll do some decent pics when/if the rain decides to stop bucketing down:(
