difficulty in getting rear seats out - 2nd row middle not going to "table" and then no chance of going to "wallet" ... likewise with the seat behind driver - goes to table but not to wallet

is it best to have seat pushed to front of runners or back of runners?

all help greatly received as i sense a sledgehammer may be slightly excessive

You will probably have the usual snapped/disconnected cable under the seats affected. Grovelling around pulling up (pinching up? Squeeze two bars together, hard to explain) the black plastic covered bars at the back of the seats should, as a temporary solution, do the trick. Makes no real difference whether the seat is at back or front of runners - as long as there's room to fold seat forward in order to get it out.

Middle seat has different mechanism to outside ones. Handle lifts up at top of plastic casing just below headrest. Have you tried that?
