i used to work for FIAT and i have converted many standard dashboards to digital ones.

How much would this cost?

Is it something that could be done myself? as in get a Digital Dash, take out old dash and simply plug it on or is it much more complecated then that?

Ive got a Petrol 1992 Tipo 1.6 Brio

Thanks :)

Its not rocket sience but it is'nt a strait swap. The conections that fit to the back of the standard dash are different to the ones on the DGT dash. Therefore you have to remove each wire from it's conector and change the metal peice on it to fit the DGT connector. Also there are many wires that are the same colour, bit with a bit of patience and common sence its not to difficult to figgure out. You will also need a vacum sender unit for the economy and power LED's. This is located on the side of the battery tray on all DGT modals. Also the millage on the DGT dash cannot be reset.

If you have any trouble let me know i've got the genuine FIAT workshop manual for the Tipo so I can tell what colour wire does what.

Dug up my own old thread :p

I didn't get the Sender unit as I had forgotten about it and erm......

Seems long as if I ever wanted to change back It would take equally long unless I started cutting and joining wires to multiple socket blocks but they may be a fire hazard so erm... unless anyone knows of an easier way, I have an Untested Digital Dash if anyone wants it.
