I saw an L reg alfa 155 silverstone sold on auction for over £3.5 k!! The guy initially wanted £5k for it!!

True but a real siverstone with documentation (and bits) is a homologation special and bit more desirable.

It was a slim body one with an 1.8 8v engine
I find incredible that anybody would bid up to 3.5k for it
I find more desirable the wide body 2.0 q4 basically a delta with a boot
