Well one week of ownership and another problem.

my 20v turbo has started making a noise when accelerating. Its hard to describe but it's a trrrrrrrrr sort of noise from the turbo, it also seems to have lost power especialy half way through the revs then picks up again on higher revs. can anyone help.
I love the car but thought i'd have longer than a week before i got any problems.

I would first check all your boost hoses for any splits or leaks and take it from there.
Could be that onw has knackered, hopefully!!(y)

Yes as Dave says check all hoses for a boost leak, leave the engine idleing and have a listen for any hissing in the engine bay. What might be happening is the split is sealing itself under full boost hence why it picks up at the end.
Also get a boost gauge fitted and see what the boost is doing.

Have listened a bit more to the noise, it is a sort of (tickitickiticki) gets faster the higher the revs and stops when i take my foot of. It also accelerates fine with my foot 3/4 of the way down on the accelerator, If i put it to the floor it loses power, lift of a bit and it picks up again.

You need to try and figure out what area of the engine the noise is coming from.
Could be the injectors ticking that you can hear.
Does only happen when cold or when the engine is warm too?
When was it's last oil change?
Process of elimination to be honest unless you know someone in the know!!
Good luck(y)

Just had a thought, is your coupe standard?
If it's running a lot of mods and a gtech2 chip you will need to run it on superunleaded or optimax as this is what the gtech2 requires.
Just a thought

Good idea what Dave says.
If you fill up with optimax (that's all I use) then remove the EFI fuse for a couple of minutes, that should reset your ECU.
The EFI fuse is in a black box next to your brake fluid reservoir, back left fuse, big motha of a fuse.
Be careful though and if you don't have the red key would maybe not try it.
If you do then after you start it up take it for a blast of a drive and the ecu should learn what fuel you are running and adjust the fueling.
Mine needs resetting now as the mrs had it the other week and put normal fuel in and I can feel the difference, i'll be doing it tomorrow just before leaving work.
