Yet another Newbie thread...

Hello all, I'm Will.

Thought I'd introduce myself as I've lurked on here reading lots of info for the last few weeks pre-empting my purchase of a Seicento (yes the cheap black Arbarth kitted one on Pistonheads) which I bought at the weekend. Not got it home yet as needs an MOT and insurance sorting out first.

This is a bit unusual for me as I'm a Jap car man but I spotted this one going cheap and for some reason really couldnt resist. It's gonna be a 2nd car for trackdays etc so what I'm mostly here for is info on making the little Sei something of a pocket rocket.

You're definitely in the right place, personally I use the Sei as my daily driver but there are plenty of very nice track 'Cento's on the forum

Thanks for the welcome guys, I'll have a look in the events section when its getting close to being sorted. I'm picking it up on Thursday for its MOT.

First things on the list to sort is:

the gearbox - pops out of third as soon as you come off the power, other gears all fine guessing at something going in the gear selection system rather than the actual gears as it does drive if you hold it in gear.

brakes - been standing a few months so I'll see what they're like and what MOT man says.

POWER! - I know I'll want more power as 55bhp seems like not enough. The Sei is replacing a car that had 125bhp and only weighed 900kg so its gonna have to pull its socks up and start tucking its shirt in
