Hello FiatForum!
Im a very normal bloke in my thirties who suddenly decided to buy a Fiat Panda about two days ago. Just bang, out of the blue, no discussion with the Mrs, just went to my nearest dealer and bought one.
It made complete sense in my head though, my first car was an original Panda, a 4x4 model in grey with the two vinyl roof panels that slid back to turn in 'kind-of convertable' that I absolutely loved.
I remember driving to the 'V-festival' in Chelmsford back in 1998 and having the whole field that was used for parking pretty much to myself and my indie loving mates, I discovered that it was possible to drive a car standing up with your head through the roof .
Unfortunatley the car had a major leak and died a year later so I bought a Vauxhall Astra Belmont..............for reasons that made sense at the time.
Then came a Fiesta, then two Novas, then an absolutely awesome mk1 MX5 that I should of kept. I now have (for the next week or so) a BMW compact auto that is a nice reliable car but has no soul like my panda or MX5.
So there it is, im just waiting for a phone call from the main dealer to let me know when my 1.2 mylife in white will be ready for collection. First thing im doing is getting the side and back windows tinted, the next thing im doing is going somewhere with twisty roads for a long drive! :slayer:
