84k service and MOT £124.42 inc pickup and dropoff to my house. Deal!

All that was needed ontop of the normal service was a new numberplate bulb.

Here comes another year of trouble free motoring.

Re Yet another clean MOT pass

Nice one.I can never understand why people worry about mot's if u get ur car serviced often at the same garage then you should be ok im 1 out 1 so far.

Re: Re Yet another clean MOT pass

****, common fault! Quick, complain lots about how the bulbs blow to often ;)

Re: Re Yet another clean MOT pass

Surely there should have been a recall for the rear bulbs. Seems to me this should be escalated to Fiat, yet another problem to add to the BIG LIST.

:)

Re: Re Yet another clean MOT pass

How many cars and bikes do you see with a bulb out somewhere?

I think auto bulbs are just not tough enough these days.

My HGT is pretty good on bulbs, when I first got her she went through headlight bulbs about one every 6 months. I can't remember changing one in the last 18 months though! Apart from that only other bulb I have ever changed is a single brake light bulb.

My motorbike used to eat dash display bulbs, I have since changed to LED's and they are superb :)
I have also converted my front side light to a homebrew LED PCB and my rear unit has been completly changed to a LED pPCB stop and tail, so no more blown bulbs for me.

if anyone is interested ;)

P Reg 1.9TD Brava,i've never had it serviced since i bought it a year ago, 147,000 on the clock, passed the MOT a couple of days ago.

Tom, wouldn't have expected anything less from a car owned and looked after by a mechanic

Most of the faults in the Big List don't relate to MOT pass/failure anyway.
Point-scoring is tedious in both directions
