From my Bertone handbook:
Type 138AS.000 (Note: 138, I suspect that 128 would be the 1290cc)
No. of cylinders Four, in-line

Bore x stroke 86,4 x 63,9 mm
Capacity 1498 cm3
Compression ratio 9,2 to 1
Maximum torque 118 Nm (12kgm) at 3200 rev/min
Maximum power (DIN) 62,5 kW (85 HP) at 6000 rev/min
Valve gear
Valve position Overhead
Operation Overhead camshaft
Drive Toothed belt
Inlet opens 24° B.T.D.C.
Inlet closes 68° A.B.T.C. (I suspect this is supposed to be A.T.D.C.?)
Exhaust opens 64° B.B.D.C.
Exhaust closes 28° A.T.D.C.
Tappet clearance
For timing check Inlet 0.60mm Exhaust 0.65mm (I suggest to ignore these!)
Normal (cold) Inlet 0.45mm Exhaust 0.60mm (Exhaust seems large, 0.50?)
Fuel System
Air cleaner Paper element
Carburettor Twin-choke downdraught, automatic cold starting device
Type WEBER 34 DATR 7 Carburettor cooling fan controlled by thermal switch
Anti-pollution aids P.C.V. system, Co limiter (I would like to know what the
Co limiter is!)
Lubrication system
(Note: elsewhere the handbook says the engine oil capacity is 4,5L (4kg) of 15W/40)
In fact I'm going to skip the Lubrication System and Cooling System sections; there is really nothing useful mentioned, apart from the fan cut-in temp. being 92°C +/- 2°C.
Ignition System
Firing order 1-3-4-2
Static advance 5° B.T.D.C.
Centrifugal advance 23°
Contact point gap 0,40 +/- 0,03mm
Spark plugs
- Type Champion RN 7 Y, Marelli CW 78 LPR, Bosch W R 6 D, FIAT 1 L 45 UR
- Thread size M14 x 1,25
- Electrode gap 0,7 to 0,8 mm
...yes, I do have a sad life (having time to type that out!) but maybe there is something in there that will be useful? In particular the timing seems easy to forget (off the top of my head I would have said 10°) and it's good to know the correct plug heat range (Champion '7' rather than the '9' I would have expected).
