A while back I believe I screwed up the stock ignition module on my ride, you know the bosch piece. Is it possible to replace the system with an aftermarket system, i.e., MSD, Jacobs, etc? My car has been sitting in storage too long and I really want it back on the road.

Thank you,
Eric Rogers

Pretty much any aftermarket ignition system will do. You could even put it back to a mechanical distributor if you are masochistic enough but that might upset the injection system a bit. Assuming of course that you have an injected car, if not then what on earth are you talking about? If it isn't injected and you have anything other than a basic distributor the car has already been tampered with in order to get the Bosch module on in the first place.

I'm sure someone will spark up and bang on about a DIY ignition module soon...

try this link, I've got a uno transistor distrib and coil in my X19 , but many types can be fitted , it sorts out all the sparky problems... never adjusted mine in 9 years...
