Awesome.

Although I'd prefer to save almost £20k and buy the Merc S600 V12 Twin Turbo they are selling.

Now that would be quick on the straights...!

Lovely car, but over priced.you can get a 3.0 beemer for cheap play with it a little,put some nos on it,and it will rip the arse off all them in a straight line :)

Or even just the 2.8 sport :) youcan get a good one for £1500
 
yes, you can get "more" from your money with the above mentioned cars, BUT they are not a Lancia.that car is an absolute legend!! cosworths, evo's and scoobies all aspire to be this car(in my opinion)40k, maybe a bit steeeeeeeeeep(vertical to be prescise!!) 30k ish would be more like it, but still a monster of a car.

A car like this is so rare that it's impossible to say if it's worth £40k.

Comparing it to a BMW 328 for £1500 is ridiculous.

i was comparing and referring to straight line speed off that car and other cars mentioned, not the cars themselves.

I dont think the speed of this car should be the topic of discussion imo

Granted its a high price tag, but to someone it worth it to own a completely original, absolutely mint, rare as f*ck, ICON of a car!

This car has heritage, and demands a certain respect no matter who you are.

even if i had 40k to spare, i wouldn't want to drive it :S

oh and i should think the cambelt is original, change isnt due for another 28,000 miles :p

regardless of silly arguments about beemers etc, i'd LOVE that car! its practically a brand bloody new Integrale! ok, £40k in todays money is a lot, but its not like you can pop down to a dealership and order one! If i were a lottery winner, i just might have hat. except i'm not. :( yet :)

Jesus!! it was a little bit of banter about speed,no one on here can or was trying to take anything away from the car,it is in my opinion,and im sure everyone else's, a beautiful piece of Italian auto memorabilia.

But it dosent take much for some people to pick an argument,or get there 2p in, on subject's /thread's of late.

If £40k's too steep then there's an Evo 2 on Auto Trader (1994, Yellow, 5290 miles) for the bargain price of £35k !

To be honest, I'd pay £100k if I had the money. You need to compare buying this car to being on the prowl and you met >insert the high profile female you dream of here
