General Wow 100mph

Just had my completly standard Fiat Seicento 1.1 sporting up to 100mph, she was screaming at me but i kept on pushing her to 100mph far too fast for standard wasnt to sure about the handling but she kept her ground wouldn't do it again though!

If the stock Sei is like my Cinque' Fiat flat out lied about the Sporting's top speed. The only limit to this cars top speed is how far you're willing to bury the tacho needle into the red! :devil:. Tis fun to 'blast' past beemers and Audis on a 100mph cruise...

absolutly on private land..... well it was just touching red before i had to let off as i didnt fancy taking on a round about as i though i would loose, but it felt quite secure but didnt fancy doing any cornering at that speed!

When the limiter was hit... I wasn't paying attention to the speedo rather the large expanse of road in front of me..

at 120/plastic somewhere it had 500rpm to go... and went on to limiter on my friends dis-used runway

havn't had a top top speed run with my gps yet, but had the gps to 110 with speedo at 115-120 iirc

Std box? if so that's damn impressive from the stock 1.1 engine! You'll get there quicker, a lot quicker, than a stocker though... When I was in Germany anything past 90mph was real slow gains but it accrued speed all the way to the limiter

yeah, needs longer gearing really want to get it on the rollers once i've sorted a few niggles and get it back on friday (goes in thursday and they keep till friday evening) larger bore downpipe and a decat

mine won't hit the limitier in 5th.. yet, i've seen off the clock enough times though.. on the runways and such

standard 1.1 sei engine hitting the limiter in 5th?

my 1242 wont even do that, and its got 15-20bhp over the standard unit.

Nope, the problem is space as it took at least 10 miles but eventually got to the limiter. Anything past 90mph took an eternity to acheve but it got there..

My Standard Sei Spporting has read 114 on the speedo, felt quite fast. Wasn't in the red though, but there was nothing more coming out of it.

we have had many threads on cinq/sei top speeds.
speedos inaccurate,vary from cars etc so no real need to go down the same route
