Should of really asked that question before i bought it but the cambelt snapped on my HGT so iv gone and bought a coupe engine. Are they exactly the same and will it be an easy fit. They seem very similar? Many Thanks

sweet, ill have a look in asec. Would the ECU need to be changed dya know? The coupe engine was out of a 99' model yet my bravo is R 97' model. Im sure the later engines were 155bhp rather than the earlier 147bhp. Just wondering wether that would need the ECU too? please say no ;)

Chris, i dont think he is trying to put a turbo engine in, just an N/A one.

there is a lot more to the 155 engine compared to the 147 though.

i 'think' you can just bolt on the stuff from your old 147 and it will work, but i'm not 100% sure due to the VIS system and fly-by-wire.

Ry

You are going from a 4 pot engine to a 5 pot? If so you will need the ECU from the donor car?

I think there is a lot of differences between the vis 155 and 147 but probably all bolt on parts, I think internally they are the same but sensors manifolds etc are different.
not 100% sure though..
