Hi, thinkin of buying a uno but dunno if price is right, so i thought might as well ask the experts :)
Its a E-reg 999cc, 60000 miles, mot till november and no tax and very good condition from the looks of it for £225
I would appreciate your help guys.

I have got an E-reg 999cc uno with 70k miles and even though it has been looked after well my mechanic says it will probably fail it's next mot (february) due to weak bodywork.

the body work is weak, even though to look at it there is no rust and it looks in brilliant nick.

he is a friend of the family and works at a bodyshop so knows what he is talking about.

It may not be the case on yours but personnally I would the body work checked out to make sure it aint weakening. :)

If this post helped you please give me good reputation. do this by clicking on the shiny chromed scales on the right of this post underneath the england flag. THANKS! ;)

:D Clever! :D

I will have my Uno for sale in Nottingham at the end of september. Red M-reg (94) will have about 72k on clock around then give or take a bit, 1.0 i.e (injection 999cc) START. JVC CD player (4x50watt) + 6x9s on the parcel shelf. Good tyres, will have about 10 months MOT (passed last two MOTs no problems; my Grandfather and I spent a lot of time and effort last year renovating brakes (changed all front) replacing the front strut or something on both sides (bit with bearing), erm fixed stalling problem; replaced vacuum advance and throttle body, waxoiled twice since (underneath, arches and inside sills etc. etc.) Fitted basic alarm, hidden immobiliser switch (not very hidden but it was enough for the insurance company!) Fitted cigarette lighter. Inside in great condition; spare wheel, jack and some bulbs, outside in very good condition for M-reg Uno; not half as faded as they seem to go in red.

Engine in good condition BUT I am honest:

Weird noise at around 2000 revs to about 2.5k revs estimating (no rev counter ;) ) - been there since we got it 16 months ago or so and although you know it's there if you have your window open, we don't think it's anything to worry about (it's a Fiat, it makes funny noises! lol)
On about 1 in 10-15 wet and cold days it needs to be revved for a few minutes before driving to prevent stalling. Not sure why it does this, it runs perfectly 9 out of 10 times on a cold wet day but then every so often just wants to be revved first to prevent it stalling - I used it for a year daily to sixth form and needed to rev before leaving about 10 times, was told it could be damp around the HT leads but it wasn't a problem to me.

Anybody on here can vouch it hasn't been thrashed for the last 12 months, they all know me too well! Reason for sale: University!

Price: Not decided yet, if you're interested, make me an offer via PM or email :)

Regards
paul
