** wont go into gear**

i was slowing down last night, and changed gear next thing i know i cant get into gear.
so i repressed the cluth and tried again nothing.
when the engine is off i can get it into gear, but once it's running press the clutch down and it wont go.
the clutch pedal has some feeling in it when i press it.
it's a 1.4 sx 1998
anyone got a clue?

Either the slave cylinder has sprung a leak (check the brake fluid level) or your clutch has failed.

there seems to be no fade on the pedal when i've pumped it, when we were checking for a leak.
i thought clutch myself but then again anything but engines and drive mechanics i'll have a go at.

Did you check the fluid level in the brake fluid resevoir?

check all the reserviors and for leaks nothing, the cluth feels like there is still feeling, it still has resistance on the peddal but when down still cant get it in gear.

Bad luck, release bearing has gone. Time for a new clutch.
