Technical Wiring Problem?

Hi, We have a Fiat Ducato Comanche and have the following problem: when I indicate to go left or right the indicator makes the clicking sound & blinking on the dashboard rapidly, & all the rear external lights do not work (indicators and brake lights). However the front ones do. The first time this happened I reset the fuses (and checked they were good) in the box on the floor behind the drivers seat. Now this isn't helping. Any ideas? Thanks.

The first thing I think I would do is change the flasher unit, classic failure when it clicks rapidly.

Sounds like a shared earth for the back lights has failed, it could just be a simple matter of finding the earth and repairing it.

Or you could run a new earth from each light cluster to a good earth point

Bad earth somewhere, check your wiring towards the rear.
