i have a 1.6 bravo hlx.. when using the wipers on my bravo after leaving it on auto wipe after i think its every 3-5seconds it wipes.. the wipers fuse just suddenly blows.. i have changed around 20 fuses now. was wondering if any of you had this problem before. i cannot drive my car in the rain!:( hopefully some1 can help what the problem is.

thanks guys

never had that problem but the fuse is a safety device designed to protect the appliance that is being used. maybe that the linkage needs lubricating and putting too much strain on the circuit. deffo needs checking

ok thanks mate and how can i go about checking it? i mean sometimes its fine and suddenly the fuse will just blow..

Yep what axel said sounds like,it needs a good loobing :)

ok how can i do that? do i take the wipers out or what? thanks

I'd suggest you get a nice mechanic to do this for you since you might damage the windscreen in the process of repair.

alright so the linkage needs lubricating if am right is the linkage connected to the motor if am correct and do you ruffly know how much it will cost to do it by an mechanic? thanks

Its about 30 mins work max. If you have someone you use regularly and you ask them nicely at the end of the day they may do it for free. Otherwise expect £20 - £30 plus VAT
