Window Wipers

My windows wipers have started acting up.

When I put it onto the timed wipe, the wipers are just moving constantly, at the same speed as what would be the first constant wipe.... (if you get what i mean)

Also when I go to stop the wiper they now just stop wherever they are on the windscreen, instead of automatically going to the bottom of the windscreen.

Hope this makes sense?? Cna anyone provide an answer or reason???

most likely problem is the stalks im afraid, bit of a pain in the bum of a job, bu if you get a new set from the scrappers its a fairly cheap job (esp in comparison to cost of new parts!)

I have this problem too.
Is it definatley the stalks and not a motor problem? I don't really want to change one thing and it ends up being the other.
This didn't happen to my old 1.4 and that was twice the age of my current Brava!

It's not definitely the stalks, could be them or the motor. I had similar problems with my wipers but also with my lights shorting the whole elctrics out when I put the main beam on or off. I changed the stalks and it solved the lights problem but not the wipers. I changed the wiper motor and it did the trick.
My suggestion is try the motor first as it's the cheaper and easier job.
