Window squeaks

Hello All,

How does one stop the windows from squeaking and making noise in the seals when fully closed ?. This is more of a problem on rough roads, and when the weather is damp / wet. There are spots on the seals where the velvety coating is rubbed away - does this cause the squeaking ?..

The seals go hard, the only way is to buy new seals. But not the inner one (the one whit something like fabric on them), but the outer ones.

I have the same problem in mine - drives me nuts!!!

One thing that does help is if you push a small section of the rubber seal up over its anchoring frame - a small notch protruding slightly does the trick and stops the squealing noise.

Re: replacing the seals, how much would this put you back???

Shouldnt cost you too much but ring a Fiat dealer for a quote. Obviously, I wouldnt even try a scrappy.

Sven - Alot of people have opted out on 6x9's on their back shelf but I thought they sounded great in my last car.

What are your thoughts?

Like the sig by the way! Reminds me I need to sort something out!

The 6x9s are MacAudio MX69.3
(can see them here http://www.macaudio.de/produkte/produkte.asp?grp=9&ser=24&lang=EN),
and sound great. The fronts are the standard fiat speakers and all is connected to my HU. I dont have any aditional amps or anything and am pleased whit the sound - all I need.
