Wilsons Epsom?

Wilsons Epsom?

When Debbie (wife) was looking to buy a new Panda we walked around there for a good 30 mins. Couldn’t get a salesman to assist / take any interest and so left. Admittedly it was a very busy holiday weekend. We didn’t go back, and bought the car elsewhere.

Ironically Wilson’s lost out on selling a Punto T-Jet too, because a good friend went shopping with my wife and they both bought their new cars at the same time from SG Petch in Darlington.

I bought my Grande from here and not really impressed. First when i picked up the car it wasn't prepared and therefore had to wait for ages whilst they cleaned it (even though it was brand new). Then they couldn't find the radio or the exterior aerial.

The service dept is the worst however. Had to get the door seals replaced and somehow ended up with a broken passenger seat and 4 extra miles on the clock... to say the least i was not impressed, made me think it was used for the lunch run!

But i have met the owner of Wilsons whilst in a queue at the service dept... who was not impressed to say the least at the fact the queue was out the door. You don't get that at many dealerships lol!

btw I wouldn't recommend them honestly

...anyone living near this garage know what they are like?

They have a 500 I am interested in...thanks

I had an awful experience when buying my Grande Punto 1.4 T Jet Sporting from Wilsons and would suggest that they are best avoided . My local dealer (Vospers of Exeter) are far superior :) ... Unfortunately for me only Wilsons Fiat Epsom had the particular car I was after!

I visited Wilsons a couple of times early evening and while I was quite happy just to look I was surprised no one approached me. I also sent an email enquiry that was never replied to so sales don't seem to be their strong point.
Have bought some parts there which was fine and had some warranty work done also OK.
I've spent some time looking round their used cars and have to agree they seem overpriced especially as many of them don't look that good, maybe all those little marks might get sorted if you buy but some of the cars don't look very pristine. A punto I saw had a very obvious front respray, not what I'd expect to see on a main dealer lot. Don't suppose they're really any different from most large dealers, just have to keep your eyes open there, one of the Pandas I saw I'm sure had suffered a rear end shunt so check carefully.
I did get a bargain in the Parts dept the other week - they were selling GM safety kits c/o excellent first aid kit, triangle and high vis vest for a fiver. I bought 4 for xmas pressies.
