Will a VL36 cartridge fit within a VL37 housing?

Hi,

I'm driving a GP 1.4 T-Jet and I might want to upgrade the turbo to a VL36. But before doing a complete turbo swap I was wondering if I could just buy a (Melett) VL36/38 cartridge and put that into my existing housing?

No it won't fit.

The compressor/cold side/aluminium housing on the VL37 turbo is smaller. The CHRA won't fit inside.
You could take it to a turbo shop to have them turn your compressor housing to match the CHRA... Ask around see if it's worth it.

I think it will be cheaper to buy a complete VL36/38 then.
