I have always been a fan of weight removal for improved BHP/ton.

Or some decent brakes/suspension/tyres always improves point to point pace.

The Vacuum advance diaphragm on the side of the distributor looks like the original one to me.

Is it still working ;)? Congratulations if it is... :D

If not, will be running well flat! Replace it and will be better value for power increase than the cam or carbs .

With a carb'ed FIRE Uno the best thing to do is to swap in the Panda 4x4 camshaft for an extra, wait for it, 5 bhp! :woot:

The Punto 75 camshaft is a good mod for a higher power upgrade except that it doesn't have the lobe to drive the mechanical fuel pump. You'd have to fit an electric pump to overcome this.

Other than that, there is no bolt in swap (other than changing engines) that will give you a big power upgrade. Best advice is to fit the 1242 Punto 60 engine. Almost a straight swap with more power and torque with nothing else needed doing.
