Technical Whine noise

Hi

I have a 2007 tjet 150 that has developed a whine noise. Happens in any gear and goes quiet when it is in neutral. I had a service done and they mentioned a noise possibly from diff. Would this be the case if noise goes in neutral? Also is this a big job. I do have a warranty that covers the diff I think !

It looks like the gearbox, and yes, that is a big ( expensive) job.
If the car is still under warranty, have it checked by another workshop for a second opinion, than go back to where you bought the car to have it fixed.
