Oh my god that looks horrid.
Took me a couple of minutes to work out why it didny look right, then saw what Mark had said.
Mk1 (SPI) Front end on a Mk1 looks good
Mk2 (MPI) Body looks good on a Mk2

But Mk1 Front end on a Mk2 :nono: :nono:

I think this might be worth a wee look..

Mrcento..when you say a front end from MK1 onto a MK2, would that be wings, bonnet, and bumper? Are they interchangeable? But just fitted badly.

it may be, but personally, i wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

to change the front end from mk2 to mk1 (or vice versa), it's wings, bumper, bonnet, indicators

the way that bumper is sitting is very, very wrong, looks like the lower bumper stays are bent, i'll guess slam panel is a bit squished too/has been bent back into shape rather than replaced (hence the bonnet not sitting flush and the bumper sitting off. top bumper bolts look missing too, bet they dont line up so have been ditched )

it's alot more than simply a minor front end repair anyhoo, its the outer skin of another car that's been grafted on with what looks like very little attention paid to what really matters, the underneath bit that holds it all together

Inner wings could be bent at most.
To swap mk2 to mk1 or vice versa Its just bumper and indicators if you can put up with the wrong bonnet badge.
Wings ect are the same. I know this only because I helped a mate spi a mpi as if prefered it. Quite easy to do but the legs holding the bumper on are needed but you could as I have is bend both of them slightly by hitting a rabbit. Obviously this guy aint done that just saying how easy it is to bend.

Aye know about having to change the indicators.
As I asked you last year, when I was at a scrappies looking at an SPI front bumper to put on my Sei.
Don't you also have to change the headlights if your fitting SPI parts to an MPI?

nah headlights are the same, the only difference is the little grill **** at the bottom of them but thats part of the bumper not the light so its nothing to worry about, it is litterally as easy as just swapping the bumpers, all the bolt holes lign up as long as you get the brackets for the middle ones.
