Technical Which tools needed to replace rocker cover gasket please?

Hi all,

So while my car is doing not a lot I thought I might just as well change the rocker cover gasket as it appears to leak, but I don't want to find myself halfway through only to discover that I need some weird and unusual tool I've never even heard of before , can someone tell me which tools are needed to do this please?

I try to keep away from diesels, but looking at ePER it looks like a simple set of 6 bolts, once you've removed everything on top. Should be basic tools, unless the bolt heads are torx (star), but that would just mean a set of torx sockets.

You say that as if it's a minor thing... lol, I don't have any torx sockets, guess I'll try and find some now online, not like I can drive to Halfords and pick some up...

They won't be polydrive. Look further up the same page at Hexalobular socket (Torx). Also known as "Star". The polydrive have straight edges to the lobes, but rarely seen on cars. Torx are smoother.

So I think I've made sense of this, euros got nothing in stock so has to be halfords, if I buy this set:

and an adaptor as I only have a 1/2 ratchet and not a 3/8 as the smaller sizes need...
