OK so which liquid rust remover should i use for the really small spots of rust where the paintwork has been compromised, ie stone chips etc. Any tips as well on how to get the best results with it.

try and get some old stock stuff from some where, as new stuff dont have acid in no more
:yeahthat: I got some recently as I'd lost my old bottle and even the man in the shop said it was rubbish
Luckily I found my old bottle of Jenolite in time Cool i'll have a hunt, i'll see if my uncle has any kicking about, he always has shed loads of stuff.

the hammerite rust eater is quite good, its in a big white tub - about a litre. Its a green gel you brush on and leave a while, then wire brush it all off. Its done me well with the kitcar build, but maybe a little aggressive for bodywork. (we were using it for prepping an offroad chassisrail and the odd cast part)
i use jenolite.
