Hey guys!

It's possibly time to ditch the Bravo for something else. The budget is somewhere between 5k and 6k.

What would any of you guys go for? Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Gaz

it depends what your after,

petrol/diesel

make of car

i got a astra diesel for over just over 5 grand sri spec, 150bhp

errrmmm... how about the new bravo???

There are some of the first 57 t-jets going for around £5-6k now.

Depends how old you wanna go and wot size.

If you wanna be boring like me, get a Mk5 Golf.... they do everything well, driven back from london tonight in really horrid weather but felt safe and relaxed.

Give us a bit more info on what you need tho chap :)

Yo!

I'm not after something too petrol/disel thirsty, so nothing more powerfull than a HGT. Idealy three doors, newer than 04 reg, less than 40k on the clock. I do like Italian styling and my first thought was an Alfa of some kind, but I'm not too sure 5k would get me a good enough example...

I'd even consider a little 1.0 eco car aslong as it didn't look rubbish! The thought of £35 a year tax and group 1 or 2 insurance sounds nice.

I'm not sure if it's just because I have not looked in a while but the price of used cars seems to be quite high these days?

Cheers,

Garry

As I've gone over to the 'dark side' of new Proton ownership, (happy enough so far, lol) - I'm duty bound to suggest a 2006- Satria Neo, which at least looks cool/modern enough, handles/drives sharply, (so I'm told) is cheap to buy and run and pulls well top-end for a 1.6 petrol.
Road tax band nothing special though, but at least it's not a death-rattler diesel with gasping 4500 RPM limit and a dodgey dual-mass flywheel.
