i see so many people providing links for a small price of which i dont intend to pay

where are they gettign these from?? for free?

Pay the small price.

Like anything free, someone is nice enough to buy it and copy it free for all. If its such a small price pay for it. Stop being a cheap skate. :)

re

as above i think, either just pay, or find someoene who has paid and willign to give you a copy,

I just got a phone with windows mobile on it and hoping to get some software for it on limewire or something.

same here allanthign is i got the phone from the back of a lorry... cheap price
means i just got a phone/pda nothing else its a new htc

never owned a pda before thats why i asked

how much is software/co-pilot

do i need a recveid as well for them to read my signal??

how does it all work, please advise pda users.

You need a GPS Dongle, now i assume your PDA has bluetooth. So search on google for a Bluetooth GPS receiver.

Now all you need is tomtom or route66 etc. Or go ASDA and get a full sat nav system for £99.

if you definitley want to run the software on your phone, as has already been said, youll need to get a gps receiver for it, you're phone will need to support bluetooth gps receivers.

you could get a pda for about £100, i just got one for my brother and 'acquired' the software, tomtom 5. if you want it, £5 plus your 96 p for the recorded delivery. let me know if you're interested.

I could of uploaded the latest Tomtom Navigator 6 software and latest UK maps for PDA's/Mobiles if you wanted but last time i put it on here for free only afew of you said thanks, the rest uploaded and said nothing. It took ages to upload it and split it. A thankyou would of been nice. Not again.

I suggest you buy the software on Ebay or search the internet.

Also i've got latest speed cameras courtesy of pocketgpsworld.com.

joske, i gotta admit mate, i couldnt find the tomtom 6 software, the tomtom 5 seems to be fine to be honest, lol havbe you noticed how gpsworld are now making you pay for subscriptions, they must have forgotten that people share.... i hear you on the uploading and thanks, its a thankless favour sometimes.

i understand joske

appens to me on many forums, th amoun of views you get exceeds the thanks you receive, seems peopel are quick to leech anything deemed a freebie..

either way my pda does have bluetooth

so all i need to buy is a gps receiver thats all? how much are they liek max £50??

also what was that about a gps dongle, whats that?

ill try obtainign the gps software somehwere, whther it be paid for or not

either way really appreciate the feedback on thi topic..

lol was just searchign for the bt 77, also the micro card i have at the mo is 512mb external, how much more will seem ideal for the s/w etc. a 1gb is enough or 512mb sufficient to hold this.

might leave this in the glovey or underneath the parcelshelf of the car, somehwere discreet.

The typical UK map is about 120MB, the software a further 25MB. Thats TomTom. I would need to check what route66 is.

512MB is more than enough.

lost me on route66?? but im sure you will explain that..
how about any essential add-on that are required?
ill assume you already considered that into the 512mb

either way 1gb cards go for about 15quid anyway...

Route66 is another satnav program for PDA/PC/Mobilephones.

Add ons are already added. Speed Cameras take a few MB, nothing much and thats it really. IF you wanted more than one map, like Germany or something then you'll need abit more.

I have the Great Britain Map inc Western Europe. Only the big major roads are shown, small streets are not really shown. Thats 320MB inc Speed Cameras. Plus 25MB for software. Overall 345MB.

Joske,

Do you use Route 66 or TomTom6???

I downloaded TT6 for my PDA but can't add any extra's. I think my SD card is to slow so makes the map jump.

Is route 66 better??

Cheers :)

ROute66 is ok. Does the same job, but i prefer the layout and operation of TomTom also i've got free traffic reports ;)

Stu try getting a faster memory card, it should elimate any problems you have with speed.

How you got free traffic reports??

I thought you had to register for that. I can't register mine. I don't know why cough cough
