thanks for everyones help and comments with my first thread.

sorry but i have a new even more obvious question.
where is the jack and brace situated on my 2002 sx?

i did not get any manuals with the car and have got the dealer cd off ebay.

however i cannot find any tools.

are they under the boot carpet? with the spare wheel?

or has someone kept them as a souvenir?

thanks in advance

Although I have a different car (Ulysee) I had same prob - No handbook, and first time I had to change the wheel I couldn't find the brace or Jack until I looked under the bonnet!!!

Although different cars, maybe worth a try, either that or inside the spare wheel under the car??!!

thanks again ozzie.

there they are folded neatly under the rear seat in a nice bag.

i wonder what my next question will be?

I suspect the answer will be:

You sit on one, the other is a joint halfway down your arm.

Only joking...... Glad you've joined the Doblo Clam.

Spenk,

Probably the same question as mine. What will I think of Fiat when I have had to empty the boot and get three people out of the car in the pouring rain, just to get the tools out to sort a puncture?

And, by the way, you're right!! I haven't found anywhere else to put them!

Well at least they'll have a nice big rear door to stand under - try doing that with a punto!

Nope!! We have the 2 door back end!
You try to stop 2 dogs escapsing when you are on your own with a tailgate!!

Lol, that's a good point. Only thing I can suggest is that if you know your going on a long journey or will be carrying a large load and people then you could remove the tools before you load up the car and keep it in the boot using the elastic strap to tie it down to one of the tie down points. Unless your a taxi driver then this won't really work :)

Don't do as I did and take the back seats out of Desiree - and nearly go on a weeks holiday to France with the jack still attached to the seat sitting neatly in the garage. I only remembered it as I was packing the car.

Soooo close.
