I'm looking at putting some 15" on my Mk1 Uno Turbo i.e but have no idea what will fit or about spaces and such. I'm currently looking at some BBS RG F1s that I think will look ok.

Measurements of the wheels are 15" x 6.5" 4 x 100 PCD, 37P offset. Will they even fit? I know I'll need wobbly bolts to make up for the 4x98 - 4x100 PCD. I'm all at sea with this type of thing.

My opinion is that 15"/6.5" sound about right (and that style looks great to me) - I think the offset is supposed to be 42mm (that's the figure I have ringing around in my head), I could be wrong. It should be easy enough to do a trial fit to see if the fronts clear the calipers? The tyre you need is 195/45/15 which shouldn't be too hard to get. Alternatively use 185/55/15 as used on Mk2 Punto Sporting (a more difficult size to get).

If using wobbly bolts you want to get a hub-centric ring so the wheel fits onto the hub before you put the bolts in. I'll try to look up the hub spigot diameter (sure to have been covered here before). EDIT: sorry, I was completely wrong with my first guess.

Thanks Alex. I was thinking 195/45/15 for the tyres as well. Should be able to get a good set for under $400 by calling on some mates, so would be perfect.

Problem with a trail fit is that they're in Southland and I'm in Wellington so it might be a bit hard. Guess if I get them I just make them work

Centre bore size will be the biggest concern with this application, find out what the inside diameter size of the centre bore of the BBS, in some cases centres have to machined out to accommodate the hub, from memory standard hub centre bore is 57.1mm.
Would look soooo nice on your uno (y)

Thanks for that, I had remembered something else by mistake!

Guy selling has advised "Where you would normally fit a locating ring it is 69.5mm" so shouldn't be an issue?

Was giving my stock alloys a scrub today and can confirm offset is 42.5mm

That's good news for you then (y)

Custom spigots needed ? not sure you will get some "off the shelf" unless you have a machinist buddy that can help you out.

Offset is spot on for fitment on your Uno, i have 6.5" x 15" et 35, & their fine, dependant on your ride height, might pay to check your clearance between wheel and fuel filler neck inside the rear arch is adequate for your own peace of mind, not to mention safety !!

Post up some pics please on here when you get them fitted

Would I be better off converting to nuts?

I know a guy who owns a pretty large aluminium fabrication plant so it might not be much to get something made up or is it not really worth it? Wheels come with 20 forged nuts + locking nuts and keys

I bought new chromed bolts through my tyre shop (TyrePro in Hamilton). I prefer bolts to studs and nuts but I guess I am in the minority.

You need wobbly bolts anyway so if you fit studs, you'll need wobbly nuts :p (the hot weather can do that y'know). Sell the forged nuts and keys on Trademe?

I believe that if you use wobbly bolts/nuts, you really should get those centering rings made up (inside diameter 57.1 - measure the hub spigot, outside diameter 69.5 - measure the wheel hole). Otherwise, how will you ensure the wheel is properly centered and not dangerously off-round as you tighten the bolts (or nuts)... I'd rather have the centering rings, they take the hassle out of fitting the wheels...
