Styling Wheels... 17" 8.5" et35

Ive been looking at some wheels but the fact that they are 8.5" wide is making me a bit weary as to whether they will go under the arches once the car is lowered.
Anyone fitted wider wheels to their grande?
I tried searching but no results.

Hmm, depends on your tyres really. I run 8J et30 and they only fit without rubbing with camber and stretched tyres.

But yes they will fit with the right setup what wheels are they if you don't mind me asking?

I was looking at the dare dr-rs ones, they come in 7.5j but the ones ive found are 8.5j. They would come with 205/45/17 tyres but sure itll need some stretch once lowered. Im not gonna go stupid but probably 50/60 mm

Nice alloys quite a few people run them. I would recommend getting them with much smaller tyres as they won't stretch enough to be legal. The tread will poke too much on 205/45's. you want 185's or 195's mate.

Oh yeah, i was aware i would need smaller side walls! Maybe just have to get them and give them ago, they shouldnt need too much really should they? Or shall i just search for 7.5j?

The 7.5 don't look that great if I'm honest. Just get the 8.5s and small tyres mate. Then if needed camber slightly

Well thanks for the input mate! I just have to decide on colour now! I like the look of the all matt black but they look a little bland on cars ive seen them on
If they had the polished rim i would have them! I do like the silver though...

Nothing secret, been looking for a nice set for ages, and kinda bought these on a whim....,

Probably cost more to make them fit than the alloys themselves...

I'll see if I can find a picture later.
