Wheel Sealant

Just wondering what everyone seals their wheels with after a good clean? Usually I would use Poorboys Sealant or similiar, but my GPS has the fork rims which are an awful design to clean. Cheers

I use supagard wonder wheels cleaner and then hose off or use a watering can. When dry I use the supagard wheel sealant.

This gives a nice finish and rather than using the above products every time you can just rinse with normal shampoo and a m/f cloth + sponge.

Please make sure that the bucket, sponge + cloth are only used to clean the wheels!

Funnily enough I've got a Supaguard pack which someone gave me as part of a payment for detailing their car. It's never been touched though lol.

Maybe you should be looking at this problem from a different point of view. Since upgrading my rear brake pads last year, to Ferodo DS Performance, the amount of brake dust they produce is easily 95% less than the OEM pads.

well for what its worth, I've been told from several people, two who do this sort of thing for a living...wax is wax [yes there are some good ones]..best way to go with alloy wheels is sealer

seeing as most alloys are finished with a 2k lacquer the same 2k lacquer that the car is sprayed with, then a good quality wax will prevent brake dust from sticking.

I use Bilberry wheel cleaner & clay bar where require to clean the wheels, then I apply 2 coats of Rim Wax. I find it make cleaning the wheel way easier as the dust does not stick as well.
